We’ve reached the Falkland Islands and our journey to and around Antarctica has come to an end.
We’ve just visited South Georgia, a sub-Antarctic island in the middle of the Southern Ocean. Surrounded by mountains and glaciers, it’s a spectacular place!
It's another exciting week on board our big red ship because we’re doing some super cool science!
We’ve made it to our first island station – Signy!
Your names have travelled thousands of nautical miles on board RRS Sir David Attenborough, from the UK all the way to mainland Antarctica.
After five weeks, we’ve made it to continental Antarctica!
It’s finally happening – we're about to enter the Southern Ocean and getting close to Antarctica!
On board the ship, food is very important! When you’re at sea for weeks at a time, meals help structure the day and mark the passage of time.
It’s a very exciting week here on board RRS Sir David Attenborough – we’ve just crossed the equator!
Our journey is well and truly underway. We've been at sea for 11 days and we're now sailing around Africa.
